Cycling along Mediterranean coast was of course wonderful experience in so many ways. Still, I wouldn't say that I recommend it. The uphills tend to be quite bad, and there's a lot of urban cycling on very busy roads filled with insane Italian and French drivers. And if you go there in July, make sure you're not carrying dozens of kilos of luggage.

I painted this while having a random mid-afternoon siesta under a pine tree, halfway between Diano Marina and Imperia. The crickets were chirping in the tree like crazy.
